Plastic & LamicoidLamicoid (Lamacoid) is a term used for laminated plastic that very cost effective material for signs and labels. It comes in a variety of colors and textures and is easily mounted with adhesive backing or screws. Text and/or logos are engraved by cutting away the first colour to reveal the second colour underneath. Benefits of these signs are permanence, durability and versatility. We commonly engrave lamicoids for use as equipment labels, fuse panel labels, serial & model number plates, switch covers, equipment panels and more.
Engraving plastics can also be used in office environments for pin name tags, magnetic name tags, door name plates, desk name plates, and more.
Diamond DragIn places where plastic is not practical, a process called diamond-dragging can be used to engrave text and logos on to metal plates. We can create metal plates from anodized aluminum of various colours or stainless steel.
Laser MarkingLaser marking and etching can be used to fuse black images onto stainless steel. This is typically used for equipment tags and labels in harsh environments or to match the equipment casing for a more inconspicuous design. Laser marking can also be done on many other materials such as wood, leather, glass, plastic, and more. The precision of the laser also allows for very small detail that a rotary engraver is not capable of.
Aluminum Sublimation & Silk ScreeningWhen colour or large quantities are required, aluminum sublimation and silk screening can be an excellent way to mark your equipment with your logo and safety or technical specifications. Silkscreening can also be used to create hundreds of signs/tags at a relatively low cost per unit.
